PHA
PLEIADES HOUSING ALLIANCE EXPANDED STRATEGIC PILLARS
Our mission is governed by three integrated pillars that transform housing from a construction challenge into a systemic engine for reconciliation and community growth.
PILLAR 3: BUILD NATION CAPACITY
Primary Goal: To ensure every PHA project leaves a permanent legacy of technical skills, local employment, and sovereign housing governance.
Indigenous Employment Mandate
Mandatory Contract Riders: We don’t just hire builders; we structure contracts that mandate a minimum of 30–50% local Indigenous labour on-site. Every installation site is treated as an "On-Site Classroom"
Trade Skills Pathways
Trade Skills Transfer: Our "Skills Transfer Plan" includes formal mentorship and pre-assembly workshops, helping local community members earn hours toward provincial trade certifications in electrical, plumbing, and precision assembly.
Housing Steward Training
Housing Manager Certification: We provide technical training and maintenance manuals to local authorities, ensuring that Nations have the internal capacity to manage and maintain these assets for the next seven generations.
Nation-Led
Design
Nation-Led Co-Design: 100% of our builds undergo a cultural appropriateness review. We empower community leadership to guide the architectural vision, ensuring the homes support multi-generational living and traditional practices.
